The Collective, a local fashion workshop/boutique, will hold its grand-opening celebration from 2 to 8 p.m. July 9 at Ward Village Shops.
In addition to design launches by Allison Izu and Ten Tomorrow, there will be an interactive photo booth for shoppers to show off their new outfits.
Customers can also tour the space to get a feel for the design, development and production process.
The Collective (formerly The Cut Collective) was founded in 2013 by designers Allison Izu Song of Allison Izu and Summer Shiigi of Ten Tomorrow as a space for independent local designers to develop their own “Made in Hawaii” brands. The two now use their expertise to mentor other designers navigating the tough industry.
The Collective is open from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Mondays to Saturdays and 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sundays.
