Fugitive ex-con wanted for rape arrested in Keeaumoku area

COURTESY U.S. MARSHALS

Timmy Miller

A 48-year-old fugitive wanted for a rape charge in northern California was arrested by a U.S. marshals task force Thursday at the Wal-Mart store on Keeaumoku Street.

U.S. Marshals, Honolulu police, and the Federal Bureau of Investigation arrested Timmy Miller of Sacramento, Calif., on an arrest warrant for rape.

The Sacramento Superior and Municipal Court issued a $3,000,000 arrest warrant for Miller on June 9.

But Miller had already fled Sacramento to Honolulu before the issuance of the warrant. Miller has an extensive criminal history that includes convictions for lewd and lascivious acts with a minor by force, battery, assault with a deadly weapon, strong arm robbery, resisting law enforcement, assault with a firearm, assault with a deadly weapon on a law enforcement officer, escape, child cruelty, kidnapping with violence, narcotics possession and extortion.

Miller was found at the Wal-Mart in a vehicle on the first level of the parking structure. He initially resisted, but soon complied once he saw the presence of all the officers, the U.S. Marshals said. He was taken into custody without further incident.

Miller was being held at the cellblock at the main police station pending a court appearance and hearing for extradition back to Sacramento.

What a joke.

Somebody must have dropped a dime on him or he was tracked via cellphone communications.
They should have not let him know there were a lot of law enforcement there and let him act up so they could put him down for good.
Why waste the time and money on guys like this. Too bad such an opportunity was wasted.

  6. cojef says:

Figured he could hide-out in Hawaii until things cooled down and found he was out his elements as the locals probably caught on to his deviant behavior.

  7. JPC says:

Did he register as a sex offender? Would that have been another crime for the dude?
