Honolulu-based ocean cargo carrier Matson Inc. has added a new director to its board and is increasing its dividend payment to stockholders.

The company announced Thursday that Stan Kuriyama, former CEO of Matson’s former parent company, Alexander & Baldwin Inc., joined Matson’s board effective Thursday.

Matson also said it will increase its third-quarter dividend by 1 cent, to 19 cents. The dividend will be paid Sept. 1 to all shareholders of record as of the close of business Aug. 4. Matson, which was spun off from A&B in 2012, has increased its dividend in each of the last four years.

The Honolulu Museum of Art has announced Cara Mazzei is the new director of development. She was previously a senior development officer at Hawaii Community Foundation.

Kamehameha Schools has named Adam Green director of its Enterprise Finance Division, a new position in the KS Finance Group.

Green will support advancing KS’ Strategic Plan 2020, which will increase KS’ ability to serve hundreds of Native Hawaiian learners. Green will also be in charge of analyzing and examining KS’ endowment resources and provide guidance to maintain financial equilibrium as well as consult and design financial strategies supporting Native Hawaiian learners.
