Moped rider critically injured in crash near Ala Moana
A 58-year-old man is in critical condition in the hospital after being ejected from his moped Sunday night near the Hawaii Convention Center.
The accident occurred at 8:35 p.m. when the moped rider was traveling west on Atkinson Drive and was making a turn into Kapiolani Boulevard, police said.
The moped rider lost control of his moped and was ejected from his vehicle.
He was taken to the hospital in critical condition, police said. He was not wearing a helmet.
