Thousands flock to see Dalai Lama in Little Saigon

WESTMINSTER, Calif. >> Some 6000 people flocked to a Vietnamese temple in Southern California to see the Dalai Lama deliver a sermon.

The Los Angeles Times reports worshippers lined up as early as 3 a.m. Saturday to see the Dalai Lama on his first visit to Little Saigon to help christen the new temple in Westminster.

The Dalai Lama is a hero to generations of Vietnamese Americans. During his sermon he urged listeners be kind and compassionate.

The temple officially opens Sunday.

    I am so sad that I was out of state when he came to Hawaii.

    The world should listen to his teachings. Peace and non violence is the way. All things and problems can be worked out if everyone just try to sit down and talk about the issues!!!
