Flood advisory canceled for the Big Island

The National Weather Service canceled a flood advisory for the Big Island.
UPDATE 10 p.m.
The National Weather Service extended a flood advisory for the Big Island until 1 a.m. Friday.
At 9:47 p.m. radar showed heavy rain persisting near the Kahua Ranch area. The area of heavy rain is nearly stationary.

A flood advisory is in effect for the Big Island until 10 p.m. today, the National Weather Service reported.
At 7:03 p.m. the rain gauge at Kahua Ranch reported over an inch of rain in the past hour and radar data showed a nearly stationary area of heavy rain.
The advisory includes, but is not limited to, Mahukona, Puako and Waikoloa Village.
