The state attorney general’s office is asking for help in finding a 35-year-old Honolulu man accused of distributing and possessing child pornography.
An Oahu grand jury indicted Andrew Patyjewicz on Feb. 25 on two counts of second-degree promoting child abuse — a Class B felony, court records show. Each count is punishable by up to 10 years in prison. A bench warrant was issued and bail was set at $11,000, but Patyjewicz was never taken into custody, the attorney general’s office said in a news release.
Patyjewicz is accused of possessing and disseminating images and videos of children being sexually exploited. He had 57 videos containing children being sexually abused, and 12 of the videos showed children under the age of 12, the release said.
The office’s Hawaii Internet Crimes Against Children unit investigated the case.
Patyjewicz is 6 feet 1 inch tall, weighs about 200 pounds and has blue eyes and brown hair.
Anyone with information on Patyjewicz is asked to call investigators in the attorney general’s office at 586-1240.

2 charged over memorial damage
Two people were charged with misdemeanor offenses Thursday after they allegedly vandalized the Hawaii Law Enforcement Memorial on the state Capitol grounds earlier this month.
Jayson Campos, 20, and a male juvenile were arrested Thursday afternoon on suspicion of desecration of a public monument or structure. Both were later charged with the offense. Campos is free after he posted bail of $200. He is scheduled to appear at 8:30 a.m. June 23 in Honolulu District Court.
Campos was arrested for the May 13 incident involving bicycle tire tracks and skateboard wheel markings that were on the memorial a few days before it was dedicated.
The case involving the juvenile will be handled by the Family Court where its proceedings are confidential. Police did not release the age of the juvenile male.
A second incident was reported by a city worker May 17 who found similar bicycle tracks on the memorial.
No arrests have been made in the second case.
