The Maui County Department of Finance will auction off properties June 7 because of delinquent real property tax payments.
The real property tax sale will begin at 9:30 a.m. and will continue June 8, if necessary, at the Kihei Community Center, 303 E. Lipoa St.
As of Wednesday there were 22 properties scheduled to be sold at the tax sale. The properties have been delinquent for three or more years and have received final notices of tax sale, county officials said.
Properties may still be removed from the tax sale list if all taxes, penalties, interest and costs have been paid in full before the date of the sale, county officials said.
Information on the tax sale, including a list of the properties being sold and frequently asked questions, can be found at mauicounty.gov/RPT (select “Delinquent Tax Accounts”).
