CBS will debut the second season of “Hawaii Five-0” today at a special Sunset on the Beach screening of the first episode, which the rest of the country won’t see until Sept. 19.
The free event includes a red-carpet arrival of the show’s stars and several who will have roles this season: Alex O’Loughlin, Scott Caan, Daniel Dae Kim, Grace Park, Terry O’Quinn, Masi Oka, Lauren German, Mark Dacascos, Taylor Wily, Teilor Grubbs and Daniela Ruah.
The music group HAPA will perform at 4:45 p.m. A cultural tribute to “Hawaii Five-0” will begin at 5:30 p.m.
Dignitaries will take the stage at 7 p.m. for a welcome from David Stapf, president of CBS Television Studios, “Five-0” executive producers Peter Lenkov and Roberto Orci, and the cast.
But all that is prelude: At 8 p.m., the screen will light up with episode one.
The Honolulu Star-Advertiser will be covering the event with live streaming video and a Twitter feed from the red carpet starting at 4:45 p.m. at staradvertiser.com.
