Temple Emanu-El will host an event featuring Eran Ganot, University of Hawaii men’s basketball coach, 7:30 p.m. Wednesday.
Ganot, winner of the 2016 Red Auerbach Award, presented to the nation’s top Jewish head coach, will speak about his “journey to becoming one of the most successful coaches in the history of UH athletics,” a news release said.
He will be interviewed by ESPN 1420 host Gary Dickman at the event, which is free and open to the public. Dickman, co-host of Hawaii’s “The Sports Animals” show, will also ask Ganot to share his philosophy on leadership and thoughts on next season.
The temple is at 2550 Pali Highway at the corner of Jack Lane. For information, call 595-7521 or visit shaloha.com.
