Korea’s latest movie release, “Phantom Detective,” will open Friday at the Consolidated Pearlridge West multiplex. This action-thriller is directed by Sung Hee Jo, who is also known for “A Werewolf Boy” and “Don’t Step Out of the House,” which won third place in Cannes Film Festival’s Cinefondation category.
Here is CJ Entertainment’s synopses of “Phantom Detective”: “After witnessing the murder of his mother as a child, private detective Hong Gil-dong has been on the trail of the killer for two decades. But when he’s about to uncover the identity of the killer, the man is taken away by a shadowy organization. Little did he know that this is the same group that created both him and his nemesis.”

Today, 6:30 p.m.: Hyesang goes to Chan-bin’s to pay her respects and is shocked to meet the family. Man-hoo finds out Dukyeh and Ji-hye are friends.
Today, 7:45 p.m.: Hong-do falls from a ledge during a scuffle with Man-hoo. Hyesang changes the crime scene to implicate Sawol for the crime. Dukyeh matches Man-hoo’s jacket button to the one found in the crime scene.

Monday, 7:45 p.m.: Dam Seo protects Yi In-jwa as Agi tries to cut off his hand. Yi In-jwa proves his worthiness to Dae-gil. Disappointment in Yi In-jwa leads him to seek out Kim Chae-gun. Prince Yeoning gathers information on Yi In-jwa’s corruptions. He arrests Yi In-jwa at a gambling house, only to realize the depth of Yi’s power.
Tuesday, 7:45 p.m.: Yi In-jwa bribes Jo Il-soo to have Hwang Jin-gi released. Hwang Jin-gi is grateful to Yi In-jwa for holding his mother’s funeral while he was imprisoned. Yi In-jwa bids Hwang to bring Kim Chae-gun’s head. Meanwhile, Dam Seo’s hatred for King Suk-jong mounts. She enters the palace with the help of Prince Yeoning.

Wednesday, 7:45 p.m.: Bass guitarist Na Yun-soo presents himself to Suk-ho. Yun-soo reminds Suk-ho of their past relationship. Suk-ho informs him of the new band that’s forming and invites him to a session. To everyone’s surprise Yun-soo shows up with his son. Kyle finds out Ha-neul has a sexual assault record.
Thursday, 7:45 p.m.: Suk-ho heads for Busan to persuade Ha-neul, with Kyle in tow. They spend the night at Green’s home. Red flags are raised in Suk-ho’s mind as he sees Ji-young, who stood as a witness and lied about Ha-neul’s sexual assault charge, signing on with KTOP. Ha-neul is confused by Kyle’s words.

Friday, 7:45 p.m.: Attorney Seo fears for his life and gives his photo for his funeral to Director Baek. Upon hearing this, Ro-joon orders Director Baek to escort Attorney Seo to a safe place. Yoon-jung finds out Chairman Lee left a will.
Saturday, 7:45 p.m.: Yoon-jung captures the culprit in Attorney Seo’s case. Yoon-jung suffers when she discovers the truth during the interrogation. Ro-joon threatens Mr. Choi to cover his tracks.
