Kaneohe shoplifting suspect escapes after struggle with security
Honolulu police released security camera video and images of a shoplifting suspect who escaped from a store security officer after a struggle last month.
The video shows the man taking clothes and putting them in a duffle bag on April 12 at about 8:50 p.m. from the Macy’s store at the Windward Mall.
Police said the man left the store with the items without paying. When a store security officer confronted the man outside the store, a struggle ensued and the suspect dropped the merchandise and fled on foot.
Police posted the video and a photo of the suspect on the Honolulupd.org website in hopes of identifying him.
Anyone with information on the suspect is asked to call police at 529-3111 or CrimeStoppers at 955-8300 or *CRIME on a cellular phone.

pretty clear video. why can’t banks afford quality security cameras?
Cuts into their bottom line.
And they are covered by insurance–the insurer is the one who should insist on better cameras, but most robbers use a mask or hood.
Way too much of this lawlessness in Hawaii
Go away. Just go away.
As long as you keep responding to the old bag, he won’t.
So, wouldn’t this be a robbery?
Probably because the misappropriation occurred in a shop? With the way our Justice Department is classifying felons or convicts as “once incarcerated”, liberal use of semantic appear more humane or more politically correct.?
So since nowadays illegal immigrants are just undocumented immigrants, maybe this guy was an unauthorized secret shopper.
He dropped the merchandise, but probably would be charged if he used any force or weapon committing the crime.
It will initially run as Robbery 2nd. Where it will end up is anyone’s guess.
Poor guy has no friends or family, otherwise he’d be in custody after this crystal clear picture. Right?
Making his parents proud.
One month ago?!
This happened last month and only now the video is posted online?!…..why not sooner?!.
Where are the female comments saying never mind the crime he looks hot?
