Stanford sophomore Evan Enriques and UCLA freshman Micah Ma’a were named to the AVCA Division I-II Men’s All-America first team on Monday.
Enriques, a 2014 Kamehameha-Hawaii alumnus, was one of three Cardinal named to the first team, leading the nation.
He was named second-team All-MPSF after leading the conference in digs per set at 2.53.
He held a .967 reception rate this season and had double-digit digs in nine matches for Stanford, which lost in five sets to UC Santa Barbara in the quarterfinals of the MPSF tournament and finished the season 19-6 overall.
Ma’a, a 2015 Punahou graduate, broke UCLA’s rally-scoring-era single-season serving mark with 57 aces this season and finished fourth in the country averaging 0.49 aces per set.
He was a first-team All-MPSF selection and four times was named a national co-winner of the freshman of the week award during the season.
The Bruins are 25-6 overall after losing in the championship game of the MPSF tournament and will play either Ohio State or George Mason in the NCAA tournament semifinals on Thursday.

>> Ryan Yamane, Punahou ’11:The Northern Colorado senior went 3-for-7 with a triple, a walk, two stolen bases, three RBIs and a run scored against North Dakota.
>> Corey Nakakura, ‘Iolani ’15: The Northern Colorado right-hander started the opening game of the series on Friday and allowed two runs on seven hits in five innings with one walk and four strikeouts and didn’t factor into the decision in a 6-4 victory over North Dakota.
>> Nickolas Alarcio, Mid-Pacific ’12: The Puget Sound senior outfielder finished 5-for-13 with a double, a walk, two runs and three RBIs as the Loggers lost two of three against Whitworth (Wash.) to end the regular season. Alarcio was named to the All-Northwest Conference second team.
>> Cal Muramaru, Mid-Pacific ’14:The Puget Sound left fielder went 1-for-3 with two runs and a walk in a 6-1 win over Whitworth (Wash.) on Saturday.
>> Tanner Nishioka, ‘Iolani ’13: The Pomona-Pitzer second baseman went 3-for-4 with two homers and drove in five runs in an 11-1 win over Claremont-Mudd-Scripps on Saturday.
>> Dane Fujinaka, Mid-Pacific ’11: The Menlo College senior started all three games in the leadoff spot and finished 5-for-11 with two doubles, a walk and two RBIs as the Oaks lost two of three against Westmont (Calif.) over the weekend.
>> Ashkon Kuhaulua, Kamehameha ’07: The Menlo College senior right-hander struck out 10 in five innings and allowed one earned run on six hits with three walks in a 9-4 win over Westmont (Calif.) on Saturday.
>> Alika McGuire, Kamehameha ’12: The Westmont (Calif.) senior outfielder finished 3-for-9 with a walk and two RBIs to help the Warriors win the series against Menlo College.
>> Trey Kamachi, Kapolei ’12: The Dixie State senior outfielder went 4-for-11 with four runs and two walks as the Storm won three of four against Concordia (Calif.) over the weekend.
MEN’S GOLF
>> Lorens Chan, ‘Iolani ’12:The UCLA senior finished in a tie for 50th place at the Pac-12 Championships that ended Sunday at The Country Club in Salt Lake City. Chan shot 18-over 302 over four rounds with his best score a 3-over 74 in the third round.
SOFTBALL
>> Krystin Kubo, Leilehua ’12: The Weber State senior first baseman went 3-for-5 with a walk and two RBIs to help the Wildcats sweep Sacramento State on Friday. Kubo skipped her graduation to play and helped the Wildcats close to within one win of securing the regular-season Big Sky championship. Weber State’s 14 conference wins set a school record.
>> Mysha Sataraka, Punahou ’12: The UCLA third baseman finished 3-for-6 with six walks, two homers, four runs scored and five RBIs in a three-game sweep of Arizona State.
>> Kimberlee Souza, ‘Iolani ’11:The Washington senior singled, scored three runs and drove in three more to help the Huskies win two of three against Utah over the weekend. Souza was hit by a hit pitch three times and had two sacrifice flies.
>> Kylie-Rose Dickson, Baldwin ’13: The Utah State second baseman went 2-for-8 with a homer, a stolen base and two RBIs as the Aggies lost two of three to San Diego State over the weekend.
>> Kirstyn Namba, ‘Iolani ’12: The Utah State senior doubled and drove in a run in a 5-4 loss to San Diego State on Friday.
>> Brennalyn Nakamura, Lahainaluna ’12: The New Mexico State second baseman finished 6-for-11 with a run and three RBIs in a three-game sweep of Missouri-Kansas City over the weekend.

>> Krystin Wong, Punahou ’15: The Columbia University center fielder went 2-for-3 with a run scored and drove in the game-winning run on a walk-off single to give the Lions a 4-3 win over Penn on Saturday to end the season.
WOMEN’S WATER POLO
>> Courtney Miller, Punahou ’12: The UC San Diego senior goalkeeper made 11 saves in a 9-5 victory over Cal State East Bay on Sunday to win the fourth straight WWPA championship for the Tritons. UCSD will host Whittier College in a National Collegiate Women’s Water Polo Championship play-in game on Tuesday.
