Preliminary hearing set for UH player accused of property damage
University of Hawaii football player Kennedy Tulimasealii is scheduled to appear at a preliminary hearing in District Court on May 26 to face a felony charge of criminal property damage.
Tulimasealii’s attorney waived his client’s initial appearance in District Court this morning.
Authorities charged Tulimasealii, 21, with a Class C felony on Monday for his alleged role in a March 1 incident.
Tulimasealii and his ex-girlfriend argued while he was a passenger and she was the driver of a 2012 Jeep, police said. Tulimasealii allegedly punched the touch-screen navigation system, cracking the glass. Damage to the Jeep, registered to his ex-girlfriend’s father, is estimated at more than $3,000.
Police arrested Tulimasealii Monday at the main police station. He was released after posting $20,000 bond.
The UH football team suspended Tulimasealii from team-related activities following his April 12 arrest on an accusation of misdemeanor assault, harassment and resisting arrest. He remains on scholarship and is permitted to attend classes and study hall.

TV screen better than hitting her.
Kennedy needs to be smarter then that, that action only drop him from reaching his goals in life. I guess he wants to go back too the streets of the westside. Girl will stop you from reaching your goals in life, suck it up and move on. The prize is not the girl, it’s playing on Sundays.
too late now but this chick really caused k.t.s career to go south in a hurry! just wish he coulda made some smarter decisions
Not the chicks fault, all you have to do is leave a girl and not hit her or her property.
Way to blame the victim willie. I wonder how many times she “fell down” too.
“this chick”? Outrageous. This so-called “student” does not represent the UH in anyway and needs to go if he is indeed guilty as charged. This bad football program continues to curse the UH. What a heavy price to pay for public entertainment unrelated to the UH educational mission.
Meanwhile, for all your purported academic excellence, you shelp pizzas– no professional interships, no published papers…nada- so telling you pillock simp.
Let’s get this straight. Being a student-athlete and doing dumb things are two distinctly different things. I bet a higher percentage of “students” are guilty of similarly bad things but you never accuse any of them as being bad for the institution, do you? This “bad” football program funds so many worthy student-athletes towards achieving their “academic” success that they otherwise wouldn’t have an opportunity to do so. This “bad” football program got that way because your Chow, who you admired, made it so. By the way, this “bad boy” was Chow’s crowning local recruit under his tenure so some blame, if any, must go to your “honorable Chow” for not providing the needed guidance. Look, I totally agree with your assessment of Willieboy as an idiot but, likewise, so are you.
His ass should be cut. For real.
Hopefully, he will turn his life around. If you weigh the potential future he has against the circumstances he now faces, he deserves a chance to find a way to get back on his feet again. Sometimes things happen for a reason and while football may or may not be in his future, most of us know what is really important.
Sad. This kid’s football career is done. But things need to happen for a reason. He probably had anger issues and a violent history that would’ve never been disclosed had he not gotten arrested. One incident of violence could perhaps be isolated. Two indicates there’s a problem. And no pro team will bring in this liability. Sadder part is what kind of employer would hire a guy with a history of violence either. This kid is screwed.
someone (coaches) gotta get this boy some help…hopefully he can get his act together and get back on the field
Actually, if this guy was a nobody no one would pay attention.
There’s no such thing as a “nobody”. Every human being is a “somebody”, just like your pathetic uncle Chow was a “somebody”.
Career ending type of BS. Just look at Johnny Football M.
loser punk- figure your life out ( if your reading this) – good choices= good chances. Auwe.
By your post, it’s obvious you have absolutely no idea about making good choices.
