Nui Mono and Girlfriends will present their annual spring craft fair from 8 a.m. to noon April 30 at Palolo Hongwanji, featuring hand-sewn clothing, accessories, ceramics, baked goods and an array of one-of-a-kind handcrafted jewelry.
Artists and designers include Lisa Wiemken (Pitacus), Charlotte Tanaka (Sweet Charlotte), Suzi Iizaki (Melons), Irene Kawaguchi (Wabi Sabi), Wendy Kim Messier, Sherrie Rupert, Kim Kono, Cora Yee, Bev Seki and Esther Nowell. Momoterrascapes, a new vendor, will sell tiny potted plants.
The Palolo Hongwanji women’s group will hold a white elephant sale at the same time to raise funds for its community projects, and Hui o Laulima will sell gifts and bentos.
Prizes range from $4 for notepads to $140 for jewelry.

Trunk show will offer bridal gowns
The Love & Lace bridal boutique will host a trunk show of gowns by Australian designer Sarah Janks on May 7 and 8. Boutique owner Janna Frash said the event will feature Janks’ dresses not previously available in Hawaii.
Prices range from $2,800 to $4,500, with a special 10 percent discount offered on any purchase made that weekend. Appointments are required; email loveandlacehawaii@gmail.com or call 230-3794.
