If beer is your weakness, this is your week. The Honolulu Brewers Festival takes place Saturday at Kakaako Makai Gateway Park, featuring pours from 120 breweries from Hawaii and beyond.
In the days leading up to the main event, several Oahu bars and restaurants are offering specials — from select beers to discounts to meet-and-greets with brewers.
Honolulu Beer Week, which is in its first year, kicked off Sunday. Go to honolulubeerweek.com for a listing of specials by venue and by day.
The festival was founded by Troy Terorotua, owner of REAL a Gastropub and BREW’d Craft Pub as a fundraiser for the Hawai‘i Agricultural Foundation, which supports agricultural education in the public schools.
The festival runs from 2 to 6:30 p.m. at the park, which is next to Kakaako Waterfront Park. Tickets are $70, which includes a commemorative glass, 10 tasting coupons and samples of beer-friendly food from 20 restaurants.
