LPGA Lotte Championship third round action at Ko Olina Golf Club. This is Stephanie Kono 2nd shot on her first hole.

Honolulu’s Stephanie Kono shot 7-under 65 to wrap up Saturday’s Lotte Championship at Ko Olina Golf Club.

The Punahou graduate had seven birdies and no bogeys for her best round of the tournament. Kono finished the LPGA tour event at 4-under 284 and was the only local golfer to make the cut. Kono had three consecutive birdies on holes 12 to 14.

“It was a lot of fun,” Kono said. “I hit a lot of good shots and obviously I got the putter rolling. It was just so much fun to play my last round here in Hawaii this year and make some putts.”

Australia’s Minjee Lee won the tournament at 16-under 272.
