A public forum titled “Abraham: An Exploration Into the Soul of Three World Religions” will feature Jay Sakashita — an associate professor of religion at Leeward Community College and a columnist for MidWeek — as the keynote speaker.
The forum is slated for 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. April 24 at the Community Church of Honolulu, 2345 Nuuanu Ave.
Respondents to Sakashita’s address include Rabbi Ken Aronowitz of Temple Emanu-El; Abdul-Karim Khan, professor of world history and coordinator for the Global Studies Certificate at Leeward Community College; and the Rev. Ron Williams of the Community Church of Honolulu.
Serving as moderator will be the Rev. Wally Fukunaga, founding president of the Sunrise Ministry Foundation, co-sponsor of the forum with The Interfaith Alliance Hawaii and Temple Emanu-El.
