Bryan Lucrecio was indicted by an Oahu grand jury April 5 and charged with second-degree murder in connection with the death of Darryl Tomita, 55. His bail was set at $500,000.
When Lucrecio was arrested at the Kaneohe Bay Plaza March 29 shortly after the incident, he admitted to stabbing Tomita.
The case will be heard by Circuit Court Judge Glenn Kim beginning the week of June 13.
According to a police affidavit, Tomita was arguing with his stepfather in the hallway of their home on Waikapoki Road just before 5:30 p.m. March 29.
A witness told police that a third person, Lucrecio, approached Tomita from behind and stabbed him once in his upper back.
