All local car clubs are invited to donate canned food to the Hawaii Foodbank on April 16.
Participants should meet at 9 a.m. at Bellows Field Beach Park in Waimanalo.
Enter the first gate off Kalanianaole Highway and continue on Tinker Road about 1 mile to the large parking area across from the beach.
There will be a 9:30 a.m. drivers meeting and announcements. Then at 9:45 a.m. drivers will cruise to Koko Marina Center in Hawaii Kai for the donation drop-off. The drivers should arrive at the site a little after 10 a.m.
Items needed are canned proteins (meat, tuna, chicken), canned meals (stew, spaghetti, chili), canned vegetables, canned fruit, rice and financial contributions.
The event is hosted by the Aloha Mustang & Shelby Club of Hawaii.

April 17 marks National Mustang Day
National Mustang Day will be celebrated from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on April 17 at Windward Ford in Kailua at 725 Kailua Road.
Ford Mustangs and other Ford vehicles will be featured in honor of the 52nd birthday of the Mustang.
The display will be held in conjunction with more than 140 Mustang clubs across the United States and Canada as well as in countries around the world.
A special event locally will include the best-sounding exhaust rumble contest.
Cake also will be served.
