1 slightly hurt in shooting at campus in North Carolina
CHARLOTTE, N.C. >> One person has suffered minor injuries in a shooting on the campus of Johnson C. Smith University in Charlotte and another person has been arrested.
The historically black university said in a statement that the shooting happened shortly before 6 p.m. Wednesday. The statement says no students were involved.
The shooting occurred at a dorm during the school’s spring break.
The names of those involved have not been released. The victim was taken to Carolinas Medical Center with minor injuries.
There is no word yet on charges.
The school has about 1,400 students.
