Missing 12-year-old twins found in Hawaii Kai
Twelve-year-old twins who have been missing since Saturday were located at about 8:10 tonight in the Hawaii Kai area and safely reunited with their parents.
Michelle and Destiny Basque-Bohol, who are identical twins, were last seen on Saturday at about 6 p.m. leaving the Ward Consolidated Theatres, and police were called when they did not show up for school this morning.

Where are their parents? I pray for their safe return…
maybe both parents were working at the time the movie ended. Gotta work 2 jobs to support the family in a Blue State you know.
Since Saturday?
Not a good enough reason. Where other family members?
Cell phones????
Unlike the red states, where almost 40% of the population is on welfare.
Weird??? Quote ““They both did not show up for school this morning and their parents are concerned for their safety,” . We’re the parent never in-touch with them once the movie was over?
They didn’t come home from the movie……no problem.
They weren’t home on Sunday………..no problem.
They didn’t show up at school THIS MORNING and now the PARENTS ARE CONCERNED????
don’t derive your logic from the info provided by SA.
bingo.
This is not rocket science. These two miscreants ran away from home but they were not smart enough to stay out of the public.
Unfortunate as the next 48 hours will be crucial. 12 years old is old enough to be out, especially at school. We will find them soon.
Hope things turn out okay for them. Just starting out in life and apparently there is a lack close connection to the immediate family. Two days have passed until parents became aware of their absence? Strange!
Something is missing here. Were they reported missing on Saturday or Sunday? Why no Maile alert?
I was wondering the same thing.
ummmm yeahhhhh something is not right?
hope they find them – healthy and in good condition… !~!!!
Shouldn’t this read, “Police search for missing 12-year old twins?”
Everyone can understand what was written. Maybe you still think you’re in grade school and think correcting someone makes you seem intelligent but most of us don’t need it.
Red hair? How does that happen to a Chinese/Filipino/Hispanic? Assuming red hair dye, could be a crucial detail. Why do they skimp on details?
Check their online accounts. Bet they were going to meet someone.
They are only 12. Don’t parents drop off their kids and pick them up at the movies any more?
I hope the best outcome for these girls and they will be found safe and unhurt.
As for the writer of this story, you must be so proud of yourself. Go back to school and learn how to write professionally.
Good reporting Star advertiser
Glad they were found. Now it is time for some real parenting.
… and something at least remotely resembling actual journalism.
Bet they were classified as runaways. Nothing suspicious to indicate crime. My have history.
No indication of where they live, so Hawaii Kai could just as well be their home. After a debriefing, the parents will know the entire itinerary of the journey of Michelle and Destiny, from Ward Theatres to Hawaii Kai. Those details will be kept private, due to privacy concerns.
Still no indication of the whereabouts of the other teen that has been missing for months, who is from East Oahu. When it’s been that long, all kinds of thoughts go through a parent’s mind, including foul play. If a person does not want to be found, it can be done. Not from a person with a promising future as that teen.
