Airport maintenance work could bring more aircraft noise overnight
Ewa residents may notice an increased level of aircraft noise beginning tonight through Wednesday because maintenance work at Honolulu Airport will temporarily close one runway.
Runway maintenance will occur tonight through Wednesday from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m., on runway 4R-22L
During the closure, flights will be redirected to other operational runways which will alter their flight paths. This may increase air traffic noise over the Ewa Plains during the closure hours.
