West Virginia beats Hawaii
Hawaii gave up runs in each of the first four innings to West Virginia, which battled back to earn a four-game split with a 9-2 victory in the series finale on Sunday at Les Murakami Stadium.
Ray Guerrini went 3-for-4 with a double, two homers and three runs scored and Darius Hill went 3-for-5 with a double, triple, three runs and two RBIs for the Mountaineers (7-3), who finished up a seven-game road trip.
Conner Dotson (2-0) shut out the Rainbow Warriors (6-7) for 2 2/3 innings in middle relief to pick up the win.
Josh Pigg (0-2) allowed three runs on seven hits in three innings to take the loss for Hawaii.
Jacob Sheldon-Collins singled in the first inning to extend his hitting streak to 12 games and drove in a run for UH.
The four-game split snapped a string of seven consecutive losing series against power-conference teams for Hawaii.

Since splitting a four-game series against Oregon to open the 2011 season, Hawaii was 6-27 against teams from the Pac-12, Big Ten and Big 12 before beating West Virginia in the opener.
