The Chaminade softball team swept a doubleheader against Notre Dame de Namur on Saturday at Central Oahu Regional Park.
In the first game, Rainelle Matsuoka batted 3-for-5 with a home run and three RBIs, Kayla Henmi went 4-for-4 with three runs scored and Sierra Mendiola was 2-for-3 with three RBIs in the Silverswords’ 12-3 six-inning victory. Keani Passi and Jenn Betian also homered for Chaminade.
In the second game, Nicole Erichsen had a two-run single and Coco Stewart collected three hits in the Silverswords’ 7-4 win.
Chaminade improved to 7-7, 3-1 PacWest, while Notre Dame de Namur fell to 5-10 and 4-6.

In the first game, Noelani Boyer belted a three-run homer during the Sharks’ six-run fifth inning.
In the second game, Kristen Caskey hit a pinch-hit three-run double during HPU’s five-run fourth.
The Sharks improved to 5-9, 2-2 PacWest, while the Hawks dropped to 4-14-1 and 0-6.

In the first game, Catlyn Cavender batted 3-for-3 with a home run and two runs scored in the Penguins’ 6-3 victory.
Menjivar hit a two-run homer for Hilo.
The Vulcans moved to 17-6, 9-1 PacWest, while the Penguins went to 4-13, 2-4.
Chaminade men lead after first round
The Chaminade men’s golf team leads at 315 after the first round of the Aloha at Oahu Classic on Saturday at the Royal Hawaiian Golf Club.
Hawaii Pacific is second at 330, Malone “A” is third at 331 and Malone “B” is fourth at 374.
The Silverswords’ Jarin Harada leads with an even-par 72.
Guesdon to speak at Honolulu QB Club
Chris Guesdon, president of the International Marathon Swimming Hall of Fame, will speak at the Honolulu Quarterback Club on Monday at Maple Garden Restaurant.
Lunch begins at 11:30 a.m. and costs $16. The public is invited.
