>> The feathered cloak given to Capt. James Cook by the ruling chief of Hawaii at Kealakekua Bay in 1779 temporarily returned to Hawaii as part of a Bishop Museum exhibit in 1978. A museum exhibit starting March 19 represents the first time that both the cloak and a feathered helmet, which was also given to Cook, will return to Hawaii together, according to the museum. A Page A1 story Wednesday said the upcoming exhibit will be the first time the cloak has returned to Hawaii in 237 years.
