Bombay Palace, formerly Monsoon India, in Discovery Bay Center, now features Pakistani specialties as part of its regular menu.
Imran Khan recently bought and rebranded the restaurant, adding dishes from his homeland with the help of chef Gul “Kenny” Khan.

Uncle Clay’s House of Pure Aloha makes the trek from Aina Haina to Ala Moana Center to set up a pop-op shop at Blue Hawaii Surf from Friday to Sunday.
Try this: “Uncle Clay” Chang’s popular Strawberry Dream will be on the pop-up menu, and Chang will be in the house on Saturday.
His icy treats are known for their naturally flavored syrups and fresh fruit toppings.
Urban Bistro, in the new 808 Center on Sheridan Street, celebrated its grand opening Feb. 12.
The eatery is the first in Hawaii to institute a no-tip policy.
Try this: A perfectly grilled cauliflower steak ($7) served along herb-roasted tomatoes and dressed with a garlicky pesto sauce. The cauliflower is tender with a bit of its bite preserved; the flavorful pesto is nicely balanced with the tart tomatoes.
