Police say suspects took cellphone from shopping cart
Honolulu police released security camera video of two suspects taking an item from a shopping cart last month and then took the video off their website.
Police are asking for the public’s help in catching the suspects.
On Jan. 8 at about 7:16 p.m., police said the suspects entered the Waianae Store and removed and concealed a cell phone from a shopping cart.
Security camera video posted on the honolulupd.org website showed a man and woman reaching into a shopping cart in the checkout area, taking an item and the woman putting it in her pocket.
This afternoon, however, police took the video and security camera images off their website.
Anyone with information on the suspects is asked to call police at 529-3911 or CrimeStoppers at 955-8300 or *CRIME on a cellular phone.

Gives mokes and fat girls bad names.
If I said that, I would be on moderation watch. You’re lucky.
Whenever I find a unattended smartphone at a bus stop or on the bus, I give it to the bus driver. The owner can then claim it at the lost and found department. Or I could surrender it to the carrier such as ATT. or Verizon.
Better to give it to the phone companies. Bus drivers do steal.
When I lost my smartphone on the bus, someone turned in in to the bus driver, and I was able to retrieve it at the lost and found.
I thought that a smartphone can be tracked by its IP address or the IMEI/MEID. number?
Aren’t smart phones useless without the PIN or fingerprint ID? My Note 5 got it. Maybe yours does, too. Ask your phone company. Can enter either with fingerprint with 4 tries and then you’ll need to use your PIN. Did you know that?
I don’t have any fingerprints because God made me an honest person.
Where the heck is the owner?
Oblivious!
Owner probably on his other smartphone.
Turn yourselves in you dastardly duo, you’re busted!
I don’t even lock my car. That’s how much I respect other people’s property.
Nothing new here folks.
Par for the course on the West side of O’ahu. Warped minds abound that region.
Probably steal my puppies if I lived near him?
That phone wasn’t to smart to just sit there and let it self be stolen.
Itchy and sticky fingers, eh?
