The University of Hawaii basketball programs are seeking a “blackout” for today’s doubleheader at the Stan Sheriff Center.
The Rainbow Wahine face Long Beach State in a matchup for second place in the Big West standings at 5:30 p.m. The Rainbow Warriors then take on UC Irvine for the top spot in the conference with tip-off scheduled for 8.
UH is encouraging fans to wear black shirts to the games. According to a release, 400 “Straight Outta Manoa” black T-shirts will be distributed to UH students starting at 5 p.m.
The UH ticket office will sell individual tickets for the men’s game only. Tickets will allow entry for both games. Women’s basketball season ticket holders will be invited to find an open seat in upper section M for the men’s game or may purchase an individual ticket to ensure a reserved seat.
The Stan Sheriff Center ticket office opens at 9 a.m. today. The arena entrances open at 4:30 p.m.
