A 32-year-old man was arrested after he allegedly pushed a 74-year-old relative, causing the older man to fall and become injured in Ewa Beach, police said.
The men were arguing when the dispute became physical about 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, police said. The two men are family members, and the older man suffered substantial injuries in the fall.
Officers arrested the younger man for investigation of second-degree assault.
Police say suspect rammed patrol car
A 41-year-old Hawaii Kai man was arrested Tuesday after he allegedly rammed a police car with a stolen vehicle in Pearl City and tried to run away, police said.
Officers spotted the stolen vehicle on Waiawa Road in Pearl City about 11:45 p.m. When the suspect saw the police car, he began driving in reverse on Waiawa Road, then turned around and encountered another officer, police said. The suspect’s vehicle then accelerated and rammed a blue-and-white patrol car before the man fled on foot.
Shortly after the crash, officers arrested the man on Waiawa Road for investigation of auto theft, first-degree criminal property damage, multiple drug offenses and warrants.
Man arrested in attack near police station
A 25-year-old man was arrested Tuesday night after a police sergeant allegedly saw him strike a 35-year-old woman sitting in a vehicle behind the Honolulu Police Department headquarters.
The incident happened about 9:40 p.m. at Kealamakai and South Hotel streets. Police arrested the man at the scene for investigation of first-degree unauthorized entry into a motor vehicle.

Oregon visitor found in ocean declared dead
A 75-year-old visitor apparently drowned Tuesday while snorkeling in waters along Kauai’s south shore.
Police have identified the visitor as Harry Evans of Springfield, Ore.
Evans was snorkeling at Hanakaape Bay in Poipu when his friends discovered him unresponsive and pulled him to shore.
According to the Kauai County Police Department, at about 3:15 p.m. firefighters received a rescue call and responded to the scene at the Koloa Landing boat ramp.
Bystanders administered CPR until firefighters arrived. Firefighters then used an automated external defibrillator on Evans until paramedics arrived at the scene and transported him to Wilcox Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
The visitor’s death marked the first drowning on Kauai this year.
Suspect arrested in Big Isle arson
An Ocean View man is accused of starting a house fire Tuesday that destroyed a home in Kau. Four people inside the structure got out uninjured, police said.
Hawaii county police officers arrested the man at 6:45 p.m. Tuesday for investigation of arson, warrants and other unrelated charges. He was being held Wednesday at the Kona police cellblock.
Police said officers were sent to investigate a fire about 5:50 p.m. Tuesday in the 92-8200 block of Bamboo Lane in Hawaiian Ocean View Estates. When officers arrived, they found the house destroyed and learned that two women and two teen boys had been inside when the home caught fire.
