Oregon State sophomore K.J. Harrison has been named to a preseason first-team All-American by both Perfect Game and D1Baseball.com.
The 2014 Punahou alumnus, who was also picked to Collegiate Baseball’s second team, was the Pac-12 freshman of the year last season with a .309 batting average, 12 doubles, three triples, 10 home runs and a league-leading 60 RBIs.
The Beavers enter the 2016 season ranked in the top eight in at least four different preseason polls, with Baseball America and D1Base ball.com ranking OSU fifth.
Bannister gets PacWest award
Holy Names senior left-hander Jayse Bannister was named the PacWest Conference pitcher of the week on Monday.
Bannister, a 2012 graduate of Hawaii Prep Academy, threw six innings of one-hit ball with four strikeouts and two walks in a 13-1 loss to Cal State Monterey Bay on Saturday.
Bannister left with the game tied 1-1, but the Hawks bullpen allowed 12 runs in two innings.

>> Ryan Stack, Kamehameha ’14: The Wisconsin sophomore swam a leg on the winning 400-yard freestyle relay team that finished in a time of 2:59.16 and also placed seventh in the 200 freestyle (1:41.35) and 50 freestyle (21.42) and eighth in the 100 freestyle (46.82) in a dual-meet loss to Georgia on Saturday.
>> Sean Terada, Kamehameha ’13: The Whitman (Wash.) junior finished second in the 200-yard freestyle (1:46.27) and 200 butterfly (1:57.91) and swam a leg on the winning 400 freestyle relay team (3:11.49) in a dual-meet loss to Whitworth (Wash.) on Saturday.
