Part of Sandy Beach parking lot will be closed for repaving
Portions of the Sandy Beach Park parking lot will be closed for nearly two months starting today for repaving.
The city Department of Parks and Recreation said the repaving project will require the Makapuu entrance and parking lot area to be closed through March 31.
Last year, the repaving project focused on the portion of the parking lot closest to Halona Blowhole, and park users can still utilize this area during the second phase of the repaving project.
