Cincinnati Bengals cornerback Adam Jones took the field before a Jan. 3 game against the Baltimore Ravens in Cincinnati.

CINCINNATI » Bengals cornerback Adam “Pacman” Jones was added to the Pro Bowl roster today for the first time in his nine-year career.

Cedric Peerman also became an injury replacement on special teams, giving Cincinnati eight players in the game.

Jones moved into an outside cornerback spot and had one of his best seasons, getting three interceptions and a sack. He also played a major role in the Bengals’ playoff meltdown against Pittsburgh, bumping an official and drawing a penalty that moved Pittsburgh into range for the winning field goal. Jones can become a free agent after the Super Bowl.

Jones was a seventh-alternate for the Pro Bowl and replaces Patrick Peterson of Arizona. Peerman, a first alternate, replaces New England’s Matthew Slater.
