Visitor arrested after allegedly using fraudulent credit card in Waikiki
A 28-year-old California visitor is in custody after she allegedly made purchases at the Royal Hawaiian Shopping Center in Waikiki using a fraudulent credit card.
Police said the suspect was one of two women who purchased items from a store Wednesday afternoon using credit cards that that employees later discovered were fraudulent.
The woman was arrested when she returned to the store the same day and was identified by an employee and detained by security until police arrived.
The woman was arrested on suspicion of fraudulent use of a credit card. The other suspect is still at large.

Identity theft, a common situation by today’s standards?
Whenever a cashier ask me for an ID card, I thank them for protecting the consumer.
I usually show my ID no matter what. ALL businesses should ask to see ID, no matter what amount. In Vegas they ask for ID even for a couple dollars charged. Should do the same here. Better to be safe, than sorry.
Since we don’t have to sign a transaction under 25 bucks, that’s a very scary thought of misplacing a credit card. Thief could go on a shopping spree.
