>> Expanded hours: Wolfgang’s Steakhouse in Waikiki started the new year with new breakfast hours. From 6 to 11 a.m. dine on eggs Benedict made with filet mignon ($17.95); French toast ($13.95); or a Japanese-style breakfast of miso soup, rice, tsukemono and grilled fish ($14.95), among other delicious items. >> Tea time: Anuenue Exquisite Tea held its grand opening last month in Kailua. The shop, in the parking lot behind Cinnamon’s, next to Black Cat Salon, specializes in handcrafted, high-quality herbal tea but also offers dishes such as spicy avocado pasta, organic tea puddings, pesto chicken salad wrap, and apple kabocha and quinoa salad. >> Hana hou: Vino’s Wine 101 class sold out so fast that they’ve scheduled another one covering the same material. Cost for the Chardonnay session is $25 and includes 1-1/2 ounces of eight wines. Class begins promptly at 4:30 p.m. Jan. 17 at Vino in Waterfront Plaza. Students receive a 25 percent discount on the restaurant’s regular menu from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. (immediately after class).
Can’t wait for Jan. 17? At 6 p.m. Wednesday, Vino will hold “A Duo of White Wine Comparisons.” This $25 tasting will compare the 2012 Denis Jamain Reuilly Les Pierres Plates with the 2011 Cantina Terlan Souvignon Quartz and the 2012 Haart Riesling Kabinett Piesporter Goldtropfchen with the 2007 harvest.

>> “The Cotton Club”: Stage Restaurant is holding a dinner party straight out of the Prohibition era. Dress in your best 1920s attire Thursday and join the fun with entertainment by 2000 Na Hoku Hanohano Award winner Ginai and an ensemble of musicians. The four-course dinner includes an amuse-bouche, tomato soup with grilled cheese croutons, crab stuffed mushrooms, New York strip loin with potatoes gratin, and dessert.
