Why bother with this? Honolulu Prosecutor Keith Kaneshiro will, if even taken to court, settle for probation. Waste of time for everyone. Too bad for the recipients of their mail.
Yup, agreed. Bookem and realeasem Danno, we need the jail space for “real” criminals. Jail them after they get bolder and really hurt somebody. Insanity continues….
Except that stealing mail is a FEDERAL offense….Kaneshiro will be an just a sideline spectator in this case, just as he is in most.
Was it a Social Security check? Usually they arrive on the 3rd of every month. So it might have been cashed only 2 days later. Mo beddah have those check automatically deposited to your checking account electronically. That way you can get your monthly deposits even if you are away from your home in Vegas. Write a letter to the SS office and maybe send a photocopy of a SS check plus your Hawaii driver’s license and passport photo to help them confirm it is really you. Hope this helps a lot of you elderly folks.
