The vendor allegedly sold the fireworks to the officer, who did not present a valid permit.

Anyone found selling, possessing or using illegal fireworks could face up to five years in jail and/or a fine of up to $10,000.
Californian allegedly threatens victim
Police arrested an 18-year-old California man in Waimanalo on Wednesday for allegedly threatening a 45-year-old man and impersonating a police officer.
Police said the suspect allegedly impersonated a police officer and used a dangerous instrument to threaten the victim shortly before 6 a.m. in Waimanalo, but fled before officers arrived.
Police later found and arrested the teen on suspicion of first-degree terroristic threatening and first-degree impersonating a police officer, both felonies. He was released Wednesday without charges pending further investigation.
