Obama hikes to top of Koko Crater with friends and family
President Barack Obama hiked to the top of Koko Crater this morning with his wife and family friends.
The president’s motorcade arrived at Koko Head District Park at 9:55 a.m. on a warm and windy morning in Hawaii Kai.
A video posted on Twitter shows the president shaking hands with surprised hikers as he makes his way down the trail.
The president and his entourage left the park at 11:13 a.m. and returned to his rented Kailua vacation home, where the First Family planned to remain for the rest of the day.
The motorcade passed, but did not stop at Sandy Beach on the way to Hawaii Kai. A high surf advisory is in effect there, where the weather service said waves are 9 to 12 feet.
The last time Obama was spotted body surfing at Sandys was in 2008 when he was running for president.

As the motorcade made its way up a hill around Hanauma Bay, a few people waved and gave the shaka sign.
Obama began his day with an early morning trip to Marine Corps Base Hawaii in Kaneohe to exercise at a gym.
It was overcast this morning with rain showers on the windward portion of Oahu where the president is vacationing with his family.

It doesn’t rain in Hawaii. It is just a passing shower, also known as a blessing from the Sky God.
Our President is fit and trim.
You call this news? What outfit was he wearing?
Maybe he went skinny dipping?
Yawn…..this is news?
What was his time to the summit?
That’s the real question.
That’s a sniper question. Can’t ask that.
No, just people curious about fitness. Some really fit people can make it to the summit in under 10 minutes. Some other people take well over an hour. I’m interested to know how long it took Obama to make the climb.
Enjoy your va action Mr.President and glad you chose Hawaii. Many one-putts to you.
Do most folks REALLY care what he does or doesn’t do on taxpayer’s dime ?
My puppies care.
This man still thinks that he is a spring chicken?
Did all the Presidential staff, secret service, HPD, and reporters follow him?
Yet, sadly for the nation, he did not remain there.
Sadly, you’re back to posting Mr. “Pollution is a Democrat Myth” and “let’s arm the mentally deranged.”
Your comment is a competition between silliness and self-delusion. Seems to be a tie.
Hey it’s probably his last year he will be visiting the Island on taxpayers’ dime, so give him some slack. Enjoy your vacation, and happy golfing too, Mr. President.
