Mililani man charged with assaulting 3 police officers
A 28-year-old Mililani man has been charged with assaulting three police officers who were attempting to break up an argument early Friday morning near Chinatown.
Gordon Scott was charged Saturday with three counts of first-degree assault of a law enforcement officer, resisting arrest, disorderly conduct, abuse and three outstanding bench warrants. His bail was set at $100,000.
The incident was reported at 2:50 a.m. as an argument between a 28-year-old man and a 35-year-old woman at Nuuanu Avenue and South Beretania Street.
The first responding officer was hit in the face when he tried to calm the suspect, police said. The suspect allegedly attacked two other officers who arrived to assist in the arrest.
The woman tried to help the suspect and was arrested on obstructing government operations. She was released pending further investigation.

The woman who was the subject of abuse turns around and attempt to interfere in the arrest of the assaulter indicates an abused victim, no? Must be tough cookie to assault 3 of Honoulu’s finest?
This might actually be the most common situation the police encounter when they respond to a domestic violence call. It’s notorious that both parties will suddenly discover a new mutual enemy, the cops, and both will then join in fighting them. It’s quite pathetic.
