The Honolulu Medical Examiner’s Office on Tuesday identified a 59-year-old woman who died after a delivery truck backed into her last month near the Queen’s Medical Center as Susan Dunbar.
Dunbar, who did not have a local address, died of multiple complications of blunt force injuries to the torso, the office said.
Police said a Pepsi delivery truck driver reversed into Dunbar on Miller Street next to the hospital at about 6 a.m. on Nov. 5. She was taken to the hospital in critical condition and died Nov. 24.
Police said Dunbar may have been in a hospital wheelchair when she was struck.
Police have reclassified their investigation to a second-degree negligent homicide case from a negligent injury case.
