The Hawaii Pacific women’s basketball team has signed guard Dani Iwami, a standout from Los Alamitos (Calif.) High, for the 2016-17 season.

As a junior, Iwami averaged nearly 14 points per game, earned the Sunset League MVP title and was named to the All-CIF Division 1AA first team.

She is the first official member of the 2016-17 recruiting class for the Sharks.
