The holiday season is prime time for finding a low room rate in Las Vegas, and this year is no exception. Last week the researchers at the Las Vegas Advisor canvassed every casino in town, looking for the best leads on lodging in December. The rates below were available either by consulting casino websites, using third-party reservation facilities, or checking the reservation codes on LasVegasAdvisor.com.
Even if you don’t use the Internet, the list serves as a guide to potential low rates you can secure by phone. Rates are higher during the National Finals Rodeo, which runs Dec. 3-12. The deepest discounts will be available Dec. 13-24. All told, 44 casinos have rooms going for under $40 this year. Here’s the lineup (rates change often and are not guaranteed).
>> Under $20 Club: Circus Circus, Golden Gate, Palace Station.
>>Under $30 Club: Bally’s, Boulder Station, the D, Downtown Grand, El Cortez, Excalibur, Fiesta Rancho, Flamingo, Harrah’s, Hooter’s, Plaza, Silver Sevens, Stratosphere, Sunset Station, Texas Station, Westgate, Whiskey Pete’s, Wild Wild West.

Question: Does the ban on daily fantasy sports in Nevada apply only to state residents?
Answer: It applies to everyone who’s physically in the state, regardless of where they live. You’ll have to get someone back home to manage your fantasy lineups during your Las Vegas trips.
