Police searching for suspect who hit officer with car
Police were searching for a suspect today after a police officer was struck by a vehicle during a traffic stop in Waikiki.
Police said the incident occurred about 1:30 a.m. when the male driver sped off during a traffic stop and injured a 37-year-old male officer, who was treated at a hospital and released.
The suspect’s identity remained unknown.
Police opened a first-degree attempted murder investigation.
