Vacation at 5-star hotel leads to jail time for alleged thief
A 25-year-old San Diego woman is ending a vacation in jail, rather than a luxury hotel room after she allegedly tried to use a stolen credit card to pay for a stay at the Kahala Hotel and Resort.
Police arrested the woman at 8 a.m. Tuesday after she made a reservation and checked in to the hotel Saturday.
Officers arrested her on suspicion of second-degree theft and second-degree identity theft.
