The 35th Hawaii International Film Festival, Nov. 12-22, presents “The Throne,” a South Korean blockbuster by director Joon-ick Lee, as one of its opening-night films. This year’s festival features nine other Korean films: “Assassination,” “Chunhyang,” “Madonna,” “Office,” “Right Now, Wrong Then,” “Seoul Searching,” “The Unfair,” “Veteran” and “Wonderful Nightmare.” Actor and director Jung Woo Ha, who plays the character of Hawaii Pistol in “Assassination,” is this year’s Korean celebrity guest.
Ha, also an artist, is a frequent visitor to Hawaii, where he comes to get some downtime before creating his next project. Visit hiff.org

Today, 6:30 p.m.: Soo-yin is officially appointed CEO of Shinhwa Group. Tae-san also recommends Woo-seok as director of Shinhwa Bakery. Poong-geum comes to see Mr. Tahk to collect money for her medical bills.
Today, 7:45 p.m.: Mio goes into the surgery room to get an abortion, and Do-jin waits outside anxiously. Soo-yin begs Tae-san to help her, but he ignores her.

Monday, 7:45 p.m.: Young-jin gets a confession out of her attacker with help from an unlikely source. Jong-ho questions Chief Yeom. Young-jin’s team requests a warrant for Chairman Kang’s arrest after getting a secret slush fund file from Seo Seung-woo.
Tuesday, 7:45 p.m.: Young-jin and her team track Chairman Kang to his lawyer’s office. All members of Young-jin’s team get promoted, but the team is disbanded.

Wednesday, 7:45p.m.: Tae-hyun leaves Yeo-jin’s mansion and runs a small neighborhood clinic. While watching TV, he sees Yeo-jin collapse at a groundbreaking ceremony. Yeo-jin suffers from hallucinations. Chae-young plots with other executives to bring Yeo-jin down.
Thursday, 7:45p.m.: An employee who worked at Hanshin’s war room comes to see Tae-hyun with a secret file. Chae-young plots with executives to wield the final blow to Yeo-jin. Tae-hyun finds out Yeo-jin is in danger and sneaks into her house to save her.

Episode 13 and 14
Friday, 7:45p.m.: Jin-eon unintentionally follows Hae-kang on a chase. Seol-ri calls him while he’s with Hae-kang, but Jin-eon ignores her call. Jin-eon gets hurt while trying to help Hae-kang out of danger. Baek Seok feels threatened by Jin-eon.
Saturday, 7:45p.m.: Hae-kang feels uneasy about Baek Seok’s feelings for her. Jin-eon still questions Hae-kang’s true identity and asks her to show him her ID. Seol-ri sees Hae-kang and Jin-eon together and tells Hae-kang that Jin-eon is the man she loves. Seol-ri finds Hae-kang’s passport in Chairman Choi’s desk.
