Police said Kele Stout drove himself to the Waianae Coast Comprehensive Health Center about 7:20 p.m. Wednesday with numerous gunshot wounds. CrimeStoppers and the Honolulu Police Department are seeking the public’s assistance for any witnesses of an attempted murder.

Police are still looking for the gunman in the shooting of a 25-year-old man last month, but the victim’s former co-worker was charged today for his role in the violence.

Ranier Ines, 42, was charged with first-degree robbery and kidnapping. His bail was set at $500,000. Police said Ines is affiliated with a prison gang.

Still unknown is the identity of the shooter in the attempted murder case that left Kele Stout in critical condition last month. About 7:20 p.m. Sept. 16, Stout drove himself to the Waianae Coast Comprehensive Health Center and collapsed after arriving, police said.

Stout had more than five gunshot wounds, police said. Police asked for the public’s help on Oct. 1 in a CrimeStoppers’ bulletin because Stout was in a coma and could not identify the shooter.

Police also released a suspect sketch for the attempted murder.

Police said this week that Stout was able to identify Ines, who was arrested in Waianae about 11:30 a.m. Wednesday. Police said Stout and Ines worked together at a countertop manufacturing company before the shooting.
