Windy weather with showers and surf expected into next week
Expect windy weather with tradewind showers and surf on all shores through the weekend and perhaps into next week.
The National Weather Service says tradewinds of 15 to 25 mph, could gust to 35 mph in some places.
The tradewinds are blowing some rain clouds in, especially in windward and mauka areas, but some showers may reach the leeward side.
If the temperature seems hotter than normal for fall, it may be because El Nino conditions have kept the waters around Hawaii warmer than usual for this time of year, said Leigh Anne Eaton, a meteorologist with the Honolulu office of the National Weather Service.
Tonight, expect more breezy conditions with scattered showers in the evening, becoming more likely after midnight. Lows should be between 72 and 77 degrees.
The windy weather and increased moisture could stick around through Veteran’s Day.

The strong tradewinds prompted a high surf advisory for east shores, where winds are kicking up waves of 5 to 8 feet.
The weather service extended the advisory until 6 p.m. Monday.
North and south shores are also seeing rising surf with some waves wrapping around to the west side.
North shores should see 4- to 7-foot surf today, rising to 6 to 10 feet Saturday. South shores should see 4- to 7-foot wave faces through Saturday and West shores can expect 3- to 5-foot surf through Saturday.
