Police are looking for a man who robbed a 41-year-old man of his photography equipment at gunpoint Saturday in Kalihi.
Police said the victim was confronted in the parking lot by a man with a handgun at about 9:10 a.m. The man took the victim’s equipment and fled in a vehicle driven by a second man.
Police opened a first-degree robbery case.
Man who set fire to truck still on the loose
Maui police are asking for the public’s help in finding the man who set a stolen truck on fire in front of the Wailuku Police Station.
At 6 a.m. Nov. 14 a man parked the stolen truck in the front parking lot of the station and set the interior on fire, police said.
Surveillance cameras captured the man fleeing on foot. Police said he was last seen running through the Kaiser Permanente Clinic parking lot.
He was wearing a gray-hooded sweatshirt and black basketball shorts.
Anyone with information on the suspect’s identity is asked to call the Maui Police Department at 244-6400. The public may also call Detective Gregg Katayama at the Wailuku Criminal Investigation Division at 244-6422.
