Hawaii tops Loyola Marymount in women’s basketball
Senior center Connie Morris scored 16 points, including 13 in the first half, as Hawaii defeated Loyola Marymount 65-51 in Friday’s second game of the Bank of Hawaii Rainbow Wahine Classic women’s basketball tournament at the Stan Sheriff Center.
Sophomore guard Sarah Toeaina added 13 points and senior guard Destiny King 12 for the
Rainbow Wahine (3-0). Freshman forward NK Ilang had 14 points before fouling out for the Lions (0-3).
Hawaii will take on Washington State (3-0) on Sunday at 5 p.m. for the tournament title. The Cougars held off Nevada 70-57 in Friday’s opener.
The Wolf Pack (0-3) and LMU meet at 2:30 p.m. Sunday.
