Beaches reopen following sewage spill

Lifeguards removed “Beach Closed” signs from Waikiki Beach on Wednesday. “There’s nothing more important than Waikiki,” Honolulu Mayor Kirk Caldwell said at a news conference Wednesday. “We wanted to make sure this event was over, and it’s over in basically two days.”
